Dear Family, This week Was wonderful! Before anyhting else though, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!!!!! I waited to send the recorder this week becuase I wanted to send you something too. Hopefully you get it in just a couple of days. I hope you have a wonderful birthday this week!
So, it really was a wonderful week, I have so much to tell you, I don't know if I will have time. I have recorded a pretty good amount though, so that should help. First off, I bought tums, dayquil, and blank cds at walgreens ;) And Cedrick did indeed get baptized this last Saturday! It was a wonderful experience! His grandparents came from brigham city, his parents, his brother, and his aunt and uncle all came from colorado. and yes his dad is a member but has been very inactive for a long time. And that was actually one of the best parts. His dad definitely was hit by the spirit strongly. He even got a little emotional when he got confirmed. It was really cool to see. Hopefully it makes a difference. His grandparents were wonderful too, I thought it was cool because he is missing his thumb, just like my sweet grandpa! They expressed many times how grateful they were that Cedrick was finally making this choice. It was a very spiritual day. And the Elder's Quorum president had a big BBQ party for everybody afterwards. And yes, there was plenty of green chile. Oh, speaking of that, I ate (almost) a whole ghost pepper last week! Spooky... It was very hot. to say the least.
So that new spanish investigator that I mentioned last week is also amazing! Her name is Natalia and she was actually already taught most of the lessons in phoenix before she came here. She is wonderful and we now have a baptismal date set. I talked a lot about her in my recording though, so you'll just have to wait for the whole story.
I am SOOO glad that Miranda is doing well, and I wish her luck in mission prep. I hope she continues to get better quickly so that she can get back to her ridiculous schedule. Oh, and don't worry about being clean. Iv'e never been cleaner in my whole life. Sister Douglas likes things VERY clean, so we keep it that way. It is a very nice house. But I can relate to stevie, I have seen some pretty bad missionary bathrooms as well. I haven't had to deal with one yet though. Anyways, I better go because I have some pictures to add on, but I hope you all have a wonderful week! I love you all so much! -Elder Hatch
PS I almost forgot to tell you, Elder Flint was jealous of my blanket, so he got one too!
