Hello everybody! Sadly, I only have a couple of minutes this week because there are a lot of people who need the computers here. Anyways, my week was pretty good. The work was a little slow this week because a lot of people went out of town, but things are still going well. Yesterday was our primary program and it was pretty cool. I actually really enjoy the primary programs. Anyways, on Friday I had the opportunity to vote for the first time! My ballot came in the mail the same day Elder flint's did, so we spent some time filling it out. It was pretty cool, but I kind of wish I knew a little bit more about some of the local stuff. Oh well. We are actually seeing a lot of Romney supporters here in ABQ. So I'm glad you guys enjoyed that little package. It cost like 9 bucks to send though! I think I am actually going to keep my recorder so I can send some stuff to other people too. We aren't really looking forward to halloween. We have to be in the house by 6. We are going to our wards trunk or treat this week though, so we will hopefully get some candy. I already have a ton though, from your package, A package the stake sent me, and the Rupper's package (thanks btw! I loved it!) I have a large box full of goodies. We also carved pumpkins last night which was fun! We have actually been finding some new spanish investigators recently which has been great, so Things are going pretty good for me. Well I better go now, but I hope you all have a great week and a happy halloween! -Elder Hatch

Dear Family, This week Was wonderful! Before anyhting else though, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!!!!! I waited to send the recorder this week becuase I wanted to send you something too. Hopefully you get it in just a couple of days. I hope you have a wonderful birthday this week!
So, it really was a wonderful week, I have so much to tell you, I don't know if I will have time. I have recorded a pretty good amount though, so that should help. First off, I bought tums, dayquil, and blank cds at walgreens ;) And Cedrick did indeed get baptized this last Saturday! It was a wonderful experience! His grandparents came from brigham city, his parents, his brother, and his aunt and uncle all came from colorado. and yes his dad is a member but has been very inactive for a long time. And that was actually one of the best parts. His dad definitely was hit by the spirit strongly. He even got a little emotional when he got confirmed. It was really cool to see. Hopefully it makes a difference. His grandparents were wonderful too, I thought it was cool because he is missing his thumb, just like my sweet grandpa! They expressed many times how grateful they were that Cedrick was finally making this choice. It was a very spiritual day. And the Elder's Quorum president had a big BBQ party for everybody afterwards. And yes, there was plenty of green chile. Oh, speaking of that, I ate (almost) a whole ghost pepper last week! Spooky... It was very hot. to say the least.
So that new spanish investigator that I mentioned last week is also amazing! Her name is Natalia and she was actually already taught most of the lessons in phoenix before she came here. She is wonderful and we now have a baptismal date set. I talked a lot about her in my recording though, so you'll just have to wait for the whole story.
I am SOOO glad that Miranda is doing well, and I wish her luck in mission prep. I hope she continues to get better quickly so that she can get back to her ridiculous schedule. Oh, and don't worry about being clean. Iv'e never been cleaner in my whole life. Sister Douglas likes things VERY clean, so we keep it that way. It is a very nice house. But I can relate to stevie, I have seen some pretty bad missionary bathrooms as well. I haven't had to deal with one yet though. Anyways, I better go because I have some pictures to add on, but I hope you all have a wonderful week! I love you all so much! -Elder Hatch
PS I almost forgot to tell you, Elder Flint was jealous of my blanket, so he got one too!

Hello! Well It was A pretty good week for me her in ABQ! Sadly, I was actually a little sick earlier in the week, but I felt better by wednesday. I actually got your package on tuesday and waited all the way until tuesday night to open it! I loved it so much! The blanket was perfect, and has kept me very warm at night, The cookies and candies were great, I also loved that BYU tie as well and have worn it more than once since. My favorite part was the recorder though, It was amazing to be able to hear you guys, and I have already started recording some stuff back, and hopefully I'll send it to you in just a few days. There was something that I thought was hilarious about that though, but youll have to wait until you get it back to find out! I had a great birthday though, we had a really nice dinner with an extremely wealthy member family, so I enjoyed it. Oh and I am buying a pumpkin today so that I can use that other present! The douglasses bought me a new pillow for my birthday, so I have slept very well. That Is really cool that I have another cousin! and so close to my birthday too! I am almost exactly 20 years older than her. Does it make you feel old to think you have a 20 year old son? I hope it does, because it makes me feel old.
So great news with Cedrick! hes getting baptized this saturday! Yaya! I am so excited! His grandparents and parents are coming down from colorado to see! His grandpa will be baptizing him. He is definitely one of the most excited converts I have ever seen! His girlfriend Britney is also making a lot of progress, and hopefully she will get baptized soon! He has really inspired me with how much faith he has to be doing all that he is doing. Haha I feel kind of bad for him though because he had to work traffic at the balloon fiesta, since hes a newer cop, so he woke up at like two all last week. So my favorite talk at conference was from Elder Uchtdorf. I loved when he said "Let us resolve to be happy regardless of the circumstances that we are in" So true! That is my new motto. I also loved president Monson's talk in Priesthood session. And when david A Bednar said "Any honest seeker of truth can obtain a testimony". That is definitely something I have seen on my mission. Anyways The work here is definitely improving. Especially becuase we just got an awesome spanish refferal right now!
So I hope you guys all have a great week, and I want Miranda to know that I am praying and fasting for her. Hardcore. I wish her luck! But congratulations to Brian and Audrey! you will have to send me pictures! I love you all so much and I hope you are happy! Until next Week! -Elder Hatch

Hello Wonderrful Family Of Mine!!! I just want you to know that I am so very thankful for all of the emails that you send me! I know Iv'e been bad at responding well, but I really do appreciate it. Well this weekend was absolutely crazy! Best Conference Ever! We were all freaking out about the new age for missionaries! That Is going to be really weird having an 18 year old companion. And 19 year old sisters! weird, but we are all very excited! Besides that though, It was probably the most spiritual conference that I have ever experienced. Haha, btw I actually know one of the kids they showed when they talked about ABQ. I felt special ;) I think conference For me has been much more meaningful as a missionary. (probably because I'm not sleeping through it anymore haha...) Well, sadly, I actually have some bad news. President Miller came out and said balloon fiesta is a no-no for missionaries, so I will actually not be going, even though we are still seeing the balloons everywhere. So to my dear Sant grandparents, I'm sorry. Im actually pretty sad, and a little annoyed with it all, but I gotta be obediant. sigh... It is still really fun to see all those balloons so close to us though! Brings back lots of memories. Also, quick shout out to Hatch Grrandparents, You rock! And also, there are some hatches in my ward right now that are also descendents from Ira Stearns. Small world huh? I am starting to get excited for my bday though! It will definitely be strange without you guys, but I will try my best to enjoy myself! Well it sounds like you guys are doing great! And Miranda, I will definitely fast for you. I really hope your surgery goes well. And that would be crazy if you went on a mission! I might just miss you too much though... Well, I better go because its crouded here today and there are people waiting for the computer, but I want you all to know that I love you so much, and I hope you all have a wonderful week.
PS I request lasagna for my birthday dinner! think of me! hahahaha

whoo! ok sorry I dont know how much time I'll have, I had 17 emails to read through! I loved it though! Definitely keep sending all the emails from stevie and adam, its awesome! All those Pictures were amazing too! I really wish I could have been there though, I really miss all you guys! It looks like you all had a wonderful time though. some of my little cousins are starting to look older and older. Anyways, so for the balloon fiesta, Im really just not sure when we will go or how that will all work. Having them call the mission prez about tickets and dinner is definitely the best thing to do though. hopefully I will be able to let you know somehow when we are going. And also to let you know dad, I am getting all your emails. I think I will try to start responding better to all of you... I have definitely slacked off. Its strange that my birthday is coming up so soon. I feel a little dumb because I wrote a list of things I needed, but I forgot to bring it here and I basically can't remember any of it. that's ok though. One thing that I really wanted was an avengers blanket. you know, just a cheap fleece one or something. that would be awesome. no judging... other than that, I trust your judgement, new music, treats, letters, other missionary stuff, it's all good. I kind of have a lot of ties now though, so I think were good there. Oh and put me down as republican and send it over! (this rich ward is getting to me ;) So, to now write a little about me, I am doing great! Elder Flint and I still get along awesome! And I love the Douglases too! they are sooo nice and fun to be around! and yes that is a krispy kreme hat I am wearing yum... So the work here is going great! Cedrick is doing awesome still! He is now at two weeks following the word of wisdom! He is the coolest guy ever and his baptism is coming up real soon! He has already finished second Nephi! We are also working with his girlfriend brittney for that same bap date. He comes to church every week and has fellowship from basically everyone in the ward. He is SO ready! whoo! Also, we had the Molina family finally come to the spanish branch this week which was awesome!! hopefully they get baptized soon too. And the Rivera family that we are working with is also making huge progress and reading the scriptures! HAha, If you can't tell, I am pretty pumped about the work in this area right now! Missionary work can be so exciting sometimes! I love this area so much (even if all the people here make me feel poor) We are getting a lot of work done. Well, I better go now, but I hope you all have a wonderful week! oh and enjoy General Conference! I know I'm Excited! Hasta Luego!
